COVID-19 and the Institute

Spring Quarter

History Classes

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we will
be offering the Spring quarter
Monday-through-Thursday evening
history classes as video streams followed by
Q&A sessions, available both live and recorded
to registered class students.
Dr. Fredlund will be conducting optional
“practice” video and Q&A sessions that
students may attend during the break:
March 29 – April 1
He will send access instruction via email to
all students who are registered for the Spring quarter
(registration is available at shop.westernciv.com).
If you are registered but do not receive an email,
please leave a message on the Institute office phone:
408-864-4060
The Spring quarter live stream history classes
will begin in earnest during the week of:
April 6 to April 9
In-person class sessions will be offered as an additional option
as soon as permitted by county health authorities.

Language Classes

The Spring language classes are on hold until further notice.
If you are registered for a Spring language class,
we will notify you when the situation changes.

Weekend Lecture Series

The Friday and Saturday evening series
lectures in April and early May are cancelled.
We will return to the scheduled
in-person lectures beginning in mid-May.
For more details, please see
Spring Lecture Series and All Roads Lead to Rome.
