During this academic year, the Institute presents a 30-week course on the History of Medieval Italy. The Fall quarter considers the Fall of Rome and the subsequent Dark Ages: 500-1000 AD. The Winter Quarter covers the flowering of the great Medieval cities such as Milan, Florence and Venice. In the Spring we study the three greatest writers of Medieval Italy: Dante, Petrarch, and Boccaccio. All classes begin at 7:00 PM.
