King’s Lynn
King’s Lynn (referred to as simply “Lynn” by the locals) is a seaport and merchant town located about 40 minutes west of Norwich. During the middle ages, Lynn was the most important port in England. In 1537, King Henry VIII (after whom it received its name) took over the town from the Bishop of Norwich. Among the modern day attractions are the Lynn Museum, the Walks (premier urban park), and True’s Yard Fisherfolk Museum.
